What is Dante?

Dante_logo_R_1000px_0 2.jpg
  • In the past audio was transferred individually over an analog cable. 1 cable per audio channel. Can you imagine the bundle of cables that had to be connected when you had 10, 20, 30, even a 100 channels. Dante converts all those audio channels to digital and transmits them all over 1 category six cable, and any gigabit network switch. 128 inputs x 128 outputs can be transferred over one cable. How crazy is that?

  • The Dante Protocol and Chipset is managed by Audinate. Any manufacturer can make their device Dante enabled by purchasing their chipset and licensing. Their device then becomes "Dante Enabled" thus allowing it to transmit and receive audio from any other Dante enabled device that is on the network. With Dante any device can be connected regardless of brand, make or model.

Why Did We Choose Dante?

  • Reliable

  • Near Zero Latency

  • Highly flexible

  • Expandable

  • Becoming the industry standard Audio over IP protocol
